How to Make Gelatin Eggs at Home (Instruction Guide)
How to make gelatin eggs at home?
Preparation & Mixing
- Optimal Ratio: Maintain a precise water-to-gelatin powder ratio of 4:1.
- Dissolving: Add hot water (above 90°C) to the powder and stir thoroughly until the mixture is completely uniform.
Molding & Cooling
- Injection: Draw the melted gelatin into a syringe. Slowly inject it into the egg mold to minimize air bubbles and ensure a smooth surface.
- Setting: Carefully place the mold in the refrigerator. Freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 3 hours to allow the gelatin to fully set.
Demolding & Usage
- Ease of Removal: To prevent the edges from cracking during opening, soak the mold in warm water for a few moments before taking the eggs out.
- Preparation for Use: Apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to both the gelatin egg and the ovipositor before use.
- Insertion: Use the booster tool to push the egg into the ovipositor.
