Finding Your Perfect Fit: The Ultimate Guide to Nothosaur Firmness
Choosing the right toy is about more than just aestheticsâtexture and resistance are key to the experience. At Nothosaur, we offer three distinct firmness levels. This guide will help you navigate our options and find your ideal match.
- đą The Basics: How to Choose
- Limited-Color Products: By default, these are crafted in Medium firmness.
- Custom Color Orders: When choosing custom colors, you can typically select your preferred firmness on the product page.
- Availability by Model: Most toys offer Soft, Medium, and Hard options. However, due to unique structural designs (e.g., GRAEMEN, NICOS, MATHAYUS), some models may not support all three levels. For instance, a specific model might only be available in Medium and Hard to ensure it maintains its shape.
đ The Firmness Scale

1. Soft (Level 5)
The Feel: Highly elastic, plush, and very easy to compress.
Note: Because this material is so yielding, slender toys in this firmness may struggle to stay upright.

2. Medium (Level 7) â The Standard
The Feel: The perfect balance between soft and firm, offering a realistic, muscular resistance.
Stability: Significantly more stable than Soft. Most models stand well in this density.

3. Hard (Level 9)
The Feel: Our firmest option. It resists compression and rebounds instantly to its original shape.
Flexibility: Even at Level 9, our silicone remains stretchy. You can still bend the toy (even touching the tip to the base!), but it will provide strong feedback.

đ Size & Perception
Size changes how firmness feels. A massive toy will always feel harder than a tiny one, even if they share the exact same firmness level. Conversely, smaller toys naturally feel softer and more pliable. Please consider the toy's dimensions when selecting your firmness.
â ïž Manufacturing & Customization Notes
- Firmness Distribution: For standard custom orders, the chosen firmness applies to the entire toy. We currently cannot customize "firmness splits" in arbitrary locations (e.g., making just the head Soft and the shaft Hard) or create "faded/transitioning" firmness upon request due to manufacturing constraints.
- Dual Density: While we do offer specific Dual Density products in our lineup, this remains a specialized feature and is not available as a standard customization toggle for all models.
- Batch Variance: Silicone density can vary slightly between batches. While we cannot guarantee an exact scientific match every time, we always strive to get as close as possible to your desired level.
